In late 2011 there began to be talk about upgrading the lobby, the nursing home lobby vibe was turning people off, it was an impediment to getting people into actual units for sale. A committee was formed and a year long process of interviewing residents about their wants and desires for the lobby, visiting other condo buildings for ideas, and putting out a request for proposals to 10 design firms. We narrowed it to 3 companies, ultimately we selected Jeffrey P. Elliott Interior Design. Jeff and his team were wonderful to work with…they were responsive, innovative and flexible; always anticipating our needs. We couldn’t have asked for a better partner. Jeff was very resourceful in finding pieces that were from the time period, so there were no knock offs. Some pieces were designed relatively recently, but, they dove tailed with the vintage pieces; a good mix of periods. Fact: the first unit that sold after the lobby remodel sold for $50,000 more than any other unit in the building. It was a great investment in the building.
